Hyperpigmentation is the result of skin cells called melanocytes that produce excess melanin – the pigment that produces skin color. Hyperpigmentation can be caused by:

After an appropriate assessment by your medical professional, Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) can dramatically even out skin tone. CIT regenerates and repairs deep in the dermis (deepest skin layer), where all repair must occur for lasting results.

What to expect

Although results may vary, dark areas can disappear within one to two treatments or as determined by your medical provider. Because it's replaced by healthier skin, these dark melanin-rich areas usually do not return. It may take up to 8 weeks to observe the full effect of therapy.

Note: After micro-needling, use sunscreen SPF 30 for at least one week and avoid direct sun exposure.
