Trying to Get Rid of Stretch Marks?
Dermaroller® brings you the safe, effective way to permanently reduce and fade stretch marks or striae
What causes stretch marks or striae?
Stretch marks or striae are caused by skin stretching during rapid growth such as during puberty, rapid weight gain and most commonly, during pregnancy. Sometimes stretch marks develop with sudden weight loss or nutrient deficiencies. Some individuals that do develop stretch marks may have a genetic tendency.
How do stretch marks form?
Stretch marks develop in the middle, elastic layer of the skin, called the dermis. The dermis consists of collagen and elastin fibers. These fibers allow your skin to stretch and then shrink back into shape. If the dermis is constantly stretched over a prolonged period, the elasticity breaks down. The skin attempts to remedy this by increasing the amount of collagen in the over-stretched area. If it fails, stretch marks develop.
Certain hormones interfere with normal skin repair damaging the dermal collagen and causing skin discoloration. The newly formed collagen also deposits in the over-stretched area in a disorganized fashion. This creates the visible gaps and scars on the skin.
Stretch marks go through stages - initially appearing discolored, then the color gradually fades. The final color of mature stretch marks depends upon your heredity and ultimately by how your skin pigment producing cells (melanocytes) respond to the inflammatory process.
How can stretch marks be reduced?
The treatment of stretch marks has been a challenge for years. The improvement generally observed from creams or LASER is limited. Now there’s a real natural solution for the esthetic disfigurement and psychological stress caused by unsightly stretch marks. The most effective way to permanently reduce and fade stretch marks is by producing new collagen and by regenerating new skin cells through a simple process called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT).
The most effective way to stimulate CIT is through micro-needling with a Medical Dermaroller® treatment.
Medical Dermaroller® models are the only micro-needling devices that communicate with fibroblast and skin stem cells to generate more skin cells, collagen and elastin for smoother, healthy-colored skin. It allows for the deep layers of the skin to thicken as it regenerates. What you notice and feel is a smoothing and evening of the stretch marks.
CIT is effective on all skin types with no risk of discoloration for darker-skinned individuals. Medical Dermaroller® models are so effective at inducing CIT that you can experience a 70% improvement after a single treatment!
How many CIT treatments do I need
After a proper medical assessment, your medical professional will estimate the number of treatments needed. It may three (3) to five (5) treatments to accomplish the goal of fading the stretch marks. Following a treatment, as the skin cells regenerate and the entire process matures, it takes at least eight (8) weeks to observe the full effect from a single procedure.
