How other rollers try to mislead you...

False claim #1 - More needles
Having more needles is NOT better. More needles requires you to use more force to penetrate the skin which increases risk of nerve/tissue damage, bleeding and pain.

For optimal therapeutic results, Dermarolle r® needles:

• Match the ideal needle patterning to the treatment application for best results (other rollers use the same needle pattern for all applications).

False claim #2 - Thinner needle
Thinner than what, an acupuncture needle? Micro-needles are so small and thin that to in order to really appreciate their dimension you need a magnifying glass. If a thinner needle is made from the same weak steel as other roller needles, then making it thinner only makes it weaker.  This increases risk of the needle buckling and/or the needle tip bending during the procedure - resulting in more damage, bleeding and pain.

False claim #3 - Unimportant design elements
Don't be mislead by fancy designs. Your results depend solely on the micro-needles' design and quality.  Detachable heads do nothing for your results or for the patient's safety. Although detachable handles can be autoclaved, the roller cannot be autoclaved. The straight handles of the Medical Dermaroller® devices are proven to be the most comfortable and easiest to use during a procedure. Other rollers try to look fancier to divert your attention from what really counts - the needles.

False claim #4 - Re-sterilizing
We do not recommend re-sterilizing a disposable product. Alcohol or similar solutions do not sterilize. Autoclaves use heat and will deform plastic, therefore ruining a roller and its needles. This increases risk of infection, injury and pain during a procedure. For your safety, every Medical Dermaroller® device is guaranteed to arrive gamma sterilized and is designed for one-time use.

False claim #5 - Made up certifications
Many companies claim to be FDA Cleared, FDA Approved and CE Marked - there are no such classifications for Class I medical devices. In the US a Class I medical device has to be appropriately registered with the FDA. Any statements beyond what is explicitly allowed by the FDA constitute false claims.  In addition, unethical micro-needling companies falsely certify and fraudulently include the FDA logo on their website and packaging in order to look official.  The FDA does not allow the use of their logo to endorse a product.  In addition, these copycat devices are sold from overseas, so they’re not liable for damages that their devices may cause.
